Longans!

These are an Asian fruit called longans.  We can't buy these in a typical supermarket, but we are fortunate to have several Asian food stores in the area, including a full-sized Asian supermarket.

I last had these in Hawai'i and I never imagined I could find fresh longans here in Schenectady.  It's an amazing time to be alive.

  1. Never even heard of longans before. They sure are tiny fruit. What is the closest thing they are like?

  2. Sort of like a grape, with a really large seed.
