Moss

So I have this weakness for plants.  I can't bring myself to throw them away even when they're simple flowers in pots.  This particular pot was in a shady location for most of last year, and moss grew in it.  Well, it's spring and even the moss is flowering.  At least I think that's what is happening.  How cool!

Green moss, warm stone

Down by the river, near all that ice, tucked away in a crevice I found this most beautifully green moss. I couldn't take my eyes off it. I don't know the name of the little plants growing with it, but that's beautiful too. The crevice is about as tall as my finger is wide.

I should have posted this bit of green for St Patrick's Day!

Walking in the woods

It's a close-up of moss.

Found while walking in the woods. I tried to take a photo from a distance, to get some perspective on how this patch related to the spot it was growing, but it didn't really have any bite. The close-up looks like a scene from a science fiction movie!
