The city removed the snow on our street! They came in with a front end loader and many dump trucks and pulled down the snow banks that were in the street, then scraped the ice off, too. The man operating the front end loader is an artist - he maneuvered that big machine within an inch of where he wanted to. Here, he's scraping the ice. he front wheels are off the ground!

Our friend and their family flew to NY when it was snowing the heaviest. A great transition from Summer in New Zealand.
ReplyDeleteI like the slide show addition, Buck! Amazing what a difference it made to get rid of the snow banks. Now if the other stuff will just start melting!
ReplyDeleteI like the slide show idea. We have some similar equipment here, although the higher temps for a couple days has done tons of melting. Wahoo!
ReplyDeleteMelting would be good! Had two days where it got above freezing. Today it was 18F. Soon!
