Each month, the City Daily Photo community chooses a these for us to use. We each interpret the theme as we like, and post our interpretation. This month, the theme is Animals.

This photo was taken in November 2011. It is perhaps the most typical example of animals in the city; walking the dogs. We haven't got a zoo nearby, so no exotic wildlife. We do have the usual complement of city animals - squirrels, sparrows and pigeons, as well as an occasional nocturnal visit from raccoons, skunks and opossum. And of course, there are cats both domestic and feral. Dogs just seemed more... typical.

Sometimes I wish I had a dog. It'd be so cruel to have one though...
ReplyDeleteLooks like the pups match the owner. Also interesting that they are so well trained that she the leader of the pack. (Not the case with our dog.)
ReplyDeleteI like your everyday-tell-it-how-it-is approach to this Theme Day.
@cieldequimper There can be benefits to a city dog. Ours visit neighbours and go to the dog park in the summer. I sometimes worry that they need more room to run, so I know how you feel about a dog in the city!
ReplyDelete@tash They don't always follow so placidly - the Swiss Mountain Dog (on the right) tries to herd us away from the street when cars drive by!
They are good company.
