She always has a smile, in all kinds of weather. She stays warm by sitting in her car when she's not escorting pedestrians. We wave at each other just about every day as I head off to work. It's always nice to see a familiar face.

Do they still have safety guards or patrols? I remember being one in 6th grade and helping with crossing guard duties.

ReplyDeleteHere in New Zealand, the lollipop hangs on a stand, and the students swing them.
I don't ever see children helping. Someone probably thinks it is too dangerous.
