Theme day - Silhouette

Each month, the City Daily Photo Blog community choose a theme and many of us post our interpretation of that theme.  Our  much-loved portal is still out of service, but Julie has stepped in and created a place we can post our monthly theme photos: CDPB Theme Day.  Click the link for many photos from round the world!  This month's theme is Silhouette.

This photo was taken in January 2012.  I go out roving the hilltops of the Northeast with my good friend Sigurd.  We set up antennas and talk to as many people as we can before moving on to the next hilltop.  This is a shot of some of the antennas stowed in 'transport' mode.

  1. Being a photographer and a ham.... that must make life very interesting! :)

    Nice picture!

  2. Nice capture of the beautiful sunset!

  3. Excellent interpretation of the theme Buck, sounds like hard slog to make a few calls though!!

  4. I like his one! The sunset in the background makes a perfect backdrop for the silhouette. I like the way the antennas look too. Very neat!

  5. I though it was a fence until I took a closer look - excellent juxtaposition with the sunset

  6. It IS quite a slog for a few calls, but in many ways, it's about the journey... Traveling with a good friend makes the trip quite nice!

Thanks for all the kind words!

  7. Ah, very nice! It does look cold, though. ;)

  8. I believe that the post has perfect collection of words and a well research. Its awesome! Thanks for sharing. Waiting for next.
