It's Friday, and since I'm an irregular member of Skywatch Friday, that means a photo of my sky. Follow the link for photos from round the world!
I woke up this morning with Battle of Evermore running through my head. Strangely enough, not any of the Led Zeppelin versions, but Heart's cover. That is probably too much boring information, but that's me!
The salient bit is this snippet of the lyrics:
I hear the horses' thunder
Down in the valley below,
I'm waiting for the angels of Avalon,
Waiting for the eastern glow.
The apples of the valley hold
The seeds of happiness,
The ground is rich from tender care,
Repay, do not forget, no, no.
Oh, dance in the dark of night,
Sing to the morning light.
I think Robert Plant must have lived in a place very much like Schenectady.

Wonderful clouds highlighting the bare branches!!
ReplyDeleteI always think these trees look great against the sky. They were used in my daily photo today as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Such sweet soft clouds behind those prickly branches!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing the way you can capture the pics when the clouds are forming a great design in the skies...
